BRAC University Alumni Reunion 2026 Celebrated with Grandeur at Silver Jubilee Year

Dhaka, 8 May 2026 — The Silver Jubilee Alumni Reunion 2026 of BRAC University was held on Friday at the university’s Merul Badda Main Campus, bringing together more than a thousand alumni, family members, committee members, partners, and guests in a vibrant day-long celebration of connection and nostalgia.

Alumni from the 1st to the 17th Convocation cohorts participated in the event, making the campus lively with reunions, memories, and renewed engagement. Notably, the presence of two alumni from the first batch (Spring 2001) added special significance to the occasion. The reunion was open to all alumni across departments along with their family members. As part of the university’s Silver Jubilee celebrations, many alumni visited the new campus in Merul Badda for the first time, describing it as a deeply emotional and memorable experience.

The day-long program began at 8:30 AM with registration and continued until 10:00 PM, featuring a wide range of activities. The event included a tree plantation program, alumni football tournament final match, Kids’ Zone organized by BRAC IED, campus tours, raffle draw with exciting prizes, cultural performances by students and alumni, and a captivating live performance by the band Shironamhin. The celebration concluded with a special screening of Banolota Express, directed by BRACU Alumnus Tanim Noor.

A key highlight of the reunion was the official launch of the Alumni Card and the “Konnekt Hub” communication portal, designed to strengthen alumni engagement and networking. The beautifully designed Reunion Magazine was also unveiled during the event.

The program was graced by distinguished members of the university leadership, including Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar—Vice Chancellor, Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury—Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Ainun Nishat—Emeritus Professor, Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, Dr. David Dowland, Professor Mohammad Mujibul Haque, Professor Sharmind Neelotpol, Dr. Sadia Hamid Kazi, Professor Shayla Sultana, Mr. Mohammad Khairul Bashar, Mr. Mohammad Sajedul Karim Chowdhury, and Ms. Tahsina Rahman.

Organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all partners, and stakeholders for their continuous support and collective effort in making the event a success. The reunion stands as a milestone celebration of the university’s Silver Jubilee, strengthening the bond between the university and its global alumni community.
