BRAC University Alumnus Selected for Bangladesh National Futsal Team
24 December 2025, Dhaka: BRAC University is delighted to share a proud achievement of its alumni community. Rayan Mahabub Chowdhury, a Spring 2017 graduate of the BRAC Business School, has been selected for the Bangladesh National Futsal Team for the upcoming SAFF Championship. He is scheduled to travel to Thailand with the national squad in early January 2026.
The squad was officially announced by the Bangladesh Football Federation yesterday.
Rayan was an active and dedicated member of the BRAC University Football Team from 2017 until his graduation in 2021. In 2019, he served as the Vice Captain of the team, demonstrating leadership and strong commitment both on and off the field.
During his time at the university, Rayan’s involvement in the football community allowed him to connect with prominent figures in the sport. Among them was Mr. Amit Hassan, former coach of the BRAC University Football Team, a fellow alumnus of BRAC Business School, and captain of BRAC University’s first Inter-University Football Tournament winning team. Mr. Hassan, who currently serves as a board member of the Bangladesh Football Federation, played an important role in supporting Rayan’s pathway to the national team.
Rayan’s selection is a moment of pride for the entire BRAC University community. His achievement reflects the university’s spirit of excellence and will undoubtedly inspire current students and fellow alumni who are passionate about sports and national representation.
