Published: April 30, 2025

On April 30, 2025, the BRAC University Response Team (BURT) launched Project Shonirvor at the Alumni Lounge, with support from BRAC University Alumni and the Office of Career Services and Alumni Relations (OCSAR).

Project Shonirvor aims to address unemployment and empower underprivileged families. This year, BURT distributed sewing machines to three families, helping them take steps toward financial independence.

The event was attended by Dr. David Dowland, Registrar; Ms. Tahsina Rahman, Joint Director of Student Life; Dr. Mohd. Raeed Jamiruddin, Club Advisor; Forhad Hossain, Manager, OCSAR; alumni, BURT panel members, and students. The ceremony highlighted the power of alumni contributions and student-led service.

BURT extends sincere thanks to the BRAC University community and looks forward to continuing this impactful project.
