Virtual Global Eid Reunion Unites BRACU Alumni

On 31 May 2026, BRAC University alumni from Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Bangladesh joined the Global Alumni Eid Reunion 2026, an online gathering organized by the Alumni Relations Team of OCSAR.

The event commenced with opening remarks by Dr. David Dowland, Registrar, BRAC University, who shared updates on alumni engagement activities, international partnerships, and the university's continued growth. He also shared that BRAC University's Silver Jubilee celebrations will officially begin on 16 June 2026 and continue throughout the year.

Ms. Tahsina Rahman, Additional Director and Head of Student Life, welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of strengthening connections among alumni across the globe.

During the virtual reunion, alumni learned about the Alumni Card, Communication PortalCareer Portal initiatives and discussed opportunities for greater international engagement. Mr. Md. Imtiazul Haque Mortuza, President of the BRAC University Alumni Association Australia, expressed his support for emerging global chapters and offered to share his experience in establishing and registering alumni organizations. Ms. Tanzia Islam, an alumna from Germany shared her experience in organizing networking and higher education counselling sessions and expressed interest in supporting similar initiatives for BRAC University alumni.

Participants alumni also exchanged memories of campus life and residential semester experiences while exploring ways to strengthen alumni engagement worldwide.

Alumni Relations Manager Forhad Hossain reaffirmed BRAC University's commitment to strengthening global alumni networks, enhancing country-level engagement, and creating meaningful opportunities for alumni to stay connected with their alma mater.
